We have a considerable degree of experience of radio communications of all forms from HF to SATCOM (satellite communications) and cellular to wireless communications, including systems development, radio propagation, etc.

• undertaking feasibility studies for using SATCOM or satellite communications control of UAV (unmanned airborne vehicle) systems including data rates required for UAV command and control and sense and avoid, handover between UAV terrestrial radio communications and SATCOM, and UAV spectrum allocation requirements for forthcoming WRC2011 meetings



• developing an end-to-end SATCOM test system



• developing SATCOM system for providing airborne passenger communications and connectivity



• undertaking feasibility studies for E-Cab - an electronic aircraft cabin for providing wireless and cellular connectivity for passengers

It may also be of interest that Ian Poole has written a number of books on radio communications including: Cellular Communications Explained (from analogue to 3G); and Newnes Guide to Radio and Communications Technology, both published by Newnes (Elsevier).
